Dr. Puram's clinical interests encompass head and neck cancer, HPV-related head and neck cancer, conditions of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary gland tumors and disorders, and skin cancers and benign tumors of the head and neck. Research Interests
Dr. Puram's research focuses on understanding tumor heterogeneity in head and neck cancer, and how heterogeneity among malignant, stromal, and immune cells may contribute to prognosis, treatment response/resistance, and underlying cancer biology. He has formal training in research through a PhD in Biology and Biomedical Sciences and has advanced the field through the use of cutting edge sequencing technologies that allow tumors to be characterized at a single cell resolution.
