What is a virtual visit?

A virtual visit is a video chat (or sometimes phone call) that allows a patient to address his or her health concerns with a provider without an in-person appointment.

How do I schedule a virtual visit?

Please call the office of the provider you would like to see to schedule a visit (Find a Doctor). If you’ve seen this provider before, you can also request a virtual visit by sending a message in MyChart.

Is a video visit private?

Yes. Our video visits are hosted through MyChart, which is a HIPAA compliant video platform, to ensure your information remains secure. Also, no audio or video is recorded, and if necessary, you can mute your microphone or stop your outgoing video at any time.

Can any doctor’s appointment be done through virtual visit?

Although many visits can be done virtually, some situations require an in-person visit.

How much does a virtual visit cost?

A virtual visit has the same co-pay as an in-office visit.

Can I schedule a virtual visit for my child?

Yes. Our pediatric specialists and primary care experts are able to see you and your child virtually. Both child and parent/guardian must be present for the entire video visit.

Can my family member or loved one join me for my virtual visit?

Yes. If your family member or support person is physically with you at the time of your visit, they are welcome to participate.
