At Washington University Physical Therapy at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide specialized speech therapy services. Our SLPs have focused training in areas such as certified brain injury specialist, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) for patients with Parkinson’s disease, Vital Stim Certification for dysphagia rehabilitation, and myofascial release for spasticity. We offer evaluations for augmentative and alternative (AAC) communication devices and provide education for these specialized devices to allow for improved communication for acquired and progressive neurological disorders.
