Washington University pathology and immunology doctors are international leaders in diagnostic pathology, providing consultation for clinical caregivers and supervising laboratories that provide information necessary for accurate patient diagnosis and effective patient treatment. With over 100 years of excellence in the field, our team consists of leading experts dedicated to scientific discovery, human pathobiology and exceptional patient care. 

The Department of Pathology and Immunology has four divisions: anatomic and molecular pathology, immunobiology, laboratory and genomic medicine and neuropathology.

Washington University Pathology Services (WUPath) is the clinical service for pathologic diagnosis, delivering personalized medicine through subspecialty expertise and ancillary testing. This service includes first and second opinions on pathology consultation, molecular testing, cytogenetics, chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), next-generation sequencing, histology and immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy.
