Jon T. Willie, MD, PhD

Research Interests

Dr. Willie is a neurosurgeon-scientist with a robust clinical practice. He is funded by private foundations and the National Institute of Mental Health, and contributes high-profile clinical outcome publications, most notably on laser interstitial thermal therapy (minimally invasive laser ablation) for epilepsy. He investigates deep brain stimulation to enhance learning and memory, and he is developing novel interventions to treat narcolepsy, hypersomnia, anxiety, brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder.
