Washington University Physicians are the primary care and specialist physicians who are members of the full-time faculty at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. This is a highly active clinical practice group of more than 1,900 physicians and clinicians, representing more than 78 specialties and subspecialties in medicine and surgery.
Patients receive comprehensive medical outpatient and inpatient care at more than 130 locations. Our main medical center campus is located at Kingshighway and I-64/40 in St. Louis, Missouri, where patients can access a broad array of ambulatory and inpatient services. We are associated with two of the nation’s leading inpatient facilities, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, which provide our patients with a wide range of board-certified specialists and the most advanced technological resources available today.
Specialty services in Illinois are provided by Washington University Physicians in Illinois, Inc., which is an Illinois nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation that provides services exclusively in Illinois and is affiliated with Washington University.
The Center for Advanced Medicine is a significant improvement in patient care. Here patients receive multi-specialty consultation, diagnostics, medical treatment, same-day surgery and other support services—all in one setting.
The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center is located in the Center for Advanced Medicine—located on the north side of the campus, at Euclid and Forest Park avenues.
