Candace Benford is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in mental health conditions in adults. She obtained her bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Missouri, St. Louis (UMSL) in 2003 and earned her master’s of nursing in psychiatry from Maryville University in 2022. Candace has been working in the behavioral health field for 20 years. She has experience providing mental health services in private practice, hospital emergency departments, hospital units and at behavioral health urgent cares. She is focused on patient-centered care which involves collaboration with patients and families to achieve the best outcomes for their mental health and quality of life.

Candace accepts new patients 18-60 years old, and treats a variety of adult conditions including depression, schizophrenia , ADHD, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and more.
