Research Interests
Dr. Krings is a clinician-scientist whose research focuses on improving the implementation of evidence-based care for asthma, COPD, and chronic lung disease. His work integrates pragmatic clinical trials, implementation science, health services research, and clinical informatics to accelerate the adoption of guideline-directed therapies in real-world practice. He has expertise in cluster randomized trials, implementation research, mixed-methods evaluation, and healthcare delivery interventions, with a particular focus on implementing guideline-recommended anti-inflammatory reliever (AIR) therapy and single maintenance and reliever therapy (SMART) for asthma.
