Research Interests
My research interests focus on human immune response to viral infections and vaccines, the epidemiology of infections in solid organ and hematopoietic transplant recipients, and emergency preparedness. Specific studies include antibody responses to vaccine-candidate proteins on the surface of vaccinia virus after smallpox vaccination, clinical trials of an inactivated VZV vaccine in immunocompromised patients, influenza epidemiology in renal and stem cell transplant recipients, and the impact of an influenza pandemic on ICU capacity.
