The Washington University Transgender Center provides health care for transgender and non-binary people in a welcoming, affirming environment.
Services include:
- Hormone therapy and specialty care (such as endocrinology, gynecology and urology)
- Social work and legal assistance, if needed
- Behavioral health support via referrals to psychology and community therapists
The Washington University Transgender Center accepts self-referrals or referrals from physicians and mental health providers. To schedule an appointment, or for more information, please visit:
- Adult care (over age 18)
- Pediatric/adolescent care (up to age 18) (NOTE: Washington University physicians will no longer prescribe puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to minors for purposes of gender transition. Patients who are currently receiving this care will be referred to other providers for these services. The Center will focus on education and mental health support.)
