Many surgeries of the abdomen and chest are now performed as minimally invasive procedures, including:

  • Removal of the gall bladder, appendix and ovarian cysts
  • Fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux
  • Pectus excavatum repair
  • Lung biopsy
  • Chest or abdominal tumor biopsy
  • Treatment of pneumonia
