Washington University’s bone specialists are world-renowned physicians in the evaluation and treatment of metabolic bone disorders, particularly osteoporosis and Paget’s disease of bone. Our bone specialists are also educators to new generations of physicians at Washington University School of Medicine.

Our bone health program is a world-class center of excellence for patient care. It is a multidisciplinary, ambulatory care service for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of metabolic bone diseases. The doctors of the bone health program are leading experts in the clinical management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. We provide individualized care tailored to each patient’s symptoms, bone density, risk factors and test results.

Since our bone health program is committed to the highest standards of quality in bone health evaluation, all personnel performing bone density testing are International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) certified bone density technologists. All bone health program specialists who interpret bone density tests are ISCD certified clinical densitometrists.
